MICHAL MEIR LAB
Mycobacterial Infections Research Lab
Clinical Research Institute in Rambam
The Mycobacterial Infections Research Lab is dedicated to the investigation of mycobacterial infections through translational and basic science research. Mycobacterial infections, such as tuberculosis (TB) and nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections, continue to be significant global health concerns, warranting rigorous scientific exploration. Our laboratory is committed to advancing our understanding of these infections through research initiatives that align with scientific rigor and objectivity.

Mycobacteria are recognized for their complex cell wall structures and the challenges they pose in terms of resilience and virulence. Our laboratory is focused on elucidating the pathogenesis, diagnostics, and therapeutic strategies related to mycobacterial infections. We pursue a balanced approach encompassing both translational and basic research, aiming to expedite the transition of fundamental scientific insights into clinically applicable solutions.
